Sarnia Walking Club “Yorkshire Guernsey” Championship Race 4
3 kilometres road walk
Les Amarreurs, Vale, Guernsey

Phil Lockwood Personal Best in 4th Place

Phil Lockwood continued his improvement with a five seconds personal best time in the fourth race of the Sarnia Walking Clubs “Yorkshire Guernsey” Championships. He crossed the line in 15.34, finishing less than half a minute behind young Jason Le Noury. Experienced racewalker and past Champion, Carl Thomson took the race win in 14.07, well ahead of Stuart Le Noury who had a below par race. Carls return to the sport should make for an interesting race to be the 2008 Mens Champion.
In the Womens Championship, Jayne Le Noury recorded her fourth win in as many races to finish in 20.49, half a minute up on second woman home Rose Drückes.
The next race is on Sunday June 22nd at the Osmond Priaulx Playing Fields, Footes Lane. The event is a One Hour track walk starting at 9.00 am. Further details from Jayne Le Noury, Tel 246865.
