Lockwood Walks to New Best Time
Phil Lockwood, finished third in the Sarnia Walking Clubs 5 kilometres road walk and opened the New Year with a new personal best time for the distance. His 26.09 was six seconds up on his recent best time.
He finished only seconds down on Stuart Le Noury, who held on to second place after starting fast and trying to stay with brother Jason Le Noury. Jason eased ahead over the two lap course to come home with an easy win in just over 25 minutes. Terry Bates claimed fourth spot after leaving Rob Elliott after the halfway point.

Jayne Le Noury was the fastest woman, clipping two seconds off her Guernsey age best for the road walk, ahead of Rose Drückes and newcomer Kay Coulson.
Recent newcomer Kay Coulson close to the finish line.
The next walk is on Sunday January 11th at 9.30 am.The race is the 5th in the Bob Wright Handicap Series, over a distance of 2 kilometres. The venue is Les Amarreurs, Vale. Details from Jayne Le Noury Tel: 246865.
