5000 metres track walk
Osmond Priaulx Playing Fields, Guernsey
Le Noury One Two
The effects of last weeks Church to Church walk dulled a few walkers times, who found it hard to muster speed. Jason Le Noury walked to victory in 25.11, a minute ahead of his brother Stuart. Phil Lockwood claimed third place in 26.41. Leading lady Jayne Le Noury finished half a minute ahead of Carol Bates, followed by Jane Rowlinson in third.
Masters walker Mick Le Sauvage (67) put the disappointment of not finishing his 48th Church Walk last week behind him, as he strolled home in 33.21.
MLS5kmThe next walk is on Sunday September 20th, starting at 9.30 am at Les Amarreurs, Vale. It is over a two lap course covering 3 kilometres in total. It will be the first event in the seven race series for the Bob Wright Memorial Trophy. All the walks are handicapped giving all walkers chance to cross the line first. This is an ideal series for any newcomers to walking. Come and have a go. Details from Jayne Le Noury, tel 246865.
