Stuart wins Rocquaine Regatta Walk
 
Stuart Le Noury crossed the line first in the Rocquaine Regatta 3.8 miles handicap road walk. His actual time of 31.32 was a new personal best for the event. The race has been an annual walk since 1971 with the winner taking home the Piette trophy.
Phil Lockwood, starting after Le Noury, chased hard but still found himself 15 seconds behind at the finish line. He recorded the fastest time of the day with an actual time seven seconds quicker than last year, giving him a new personal best time. Backmarker Jason Le Noury finished third ahead of the first woman home Carol Bates.
The next walk is the final event in the Yorkshire Guernsey Championship. The distance is one mile at Footes Lane on Friday August 6th at 6.30 pm. Details from Jayne Le Noury, tel 246865.
