Bob Wright Handicap Series Race Two

10 kilometres road walk at Delancey Park, Guernsey

Marie wins second race in series

Marie Macdonald broke her predicted handicap time and won the second race in the Bob Wright handicap series by a minute from Rob Elliott with an actual time of 1.13.05. A fast finishing Phil Lockwood took third place finishing another thirty four seconds down, but with a faster actual time than Elliott.

Elliott had gone through the half way point in 30.06 with Lockwood making up a little ground with his 29.47 after starting two minutes behind. An almost identical second half for Lockwood saw the gap coming down until he ran out of road. Stuart Le Noury had the fastest actual time of the day with his 54.59.

Newcomer Anouska Athaide walked alongside regular walker Kay Coulson for 5 kilometres and recorded 42.26 for her first attempt at race walking.
